Experience

Admitted to bar, 1986, Louisiana, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.

Ms. Rome has been actively practicing law since 1986 and was a partner in the law firm of Chehardy, Sherman, Ellis, Murray & Recile for many years. She is now the director of her own firm, Elizabeth 0. Rome, LLC. Her law practice consists of family law, covering the areas of prenuptial and postnuptial matrimonial agreements, divorce, child custody and support, periodic and permanent spousal support, division of property and the countless other matters which affect evolving families today. Her law practice further consists of step-parent adoptions and name changes.
